The ELHCP website has now been updated with the latest messages/ lines regarding priority cohorts. This follows the announcements that, nationally, the programme had now opened to those aged over 70 and the clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) individuals.
While we are making great progress with our vaccination programme (with more than 70,000 people already receiving a vaccination across NEL), we know we still have to complete all those in priority cohorts 1 and 2. Working with our practices, we have now agreed a process to provide reassurance to any anxious residents aged 80+, who may be worried they have been missed as they have heard that the programme is moving on.
Below is the text from the ELHCP website, but in summary, anyone over 80 who has not had their first vaccine should now contact their GP, Those aged 70 to 80 or in the CEV group must please wait to be contacted by their GP. Our FAQs on the ELHCP website have also been updated - https://www.eastlondonhcp.nhs.uk/ourplans/covid-19-vaccination-programme.htm
