A full withdrawal of labour (including emergency care) on:
Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering CCGs have been working with our health providers and have plans in place to protect the safety and welfare of patients.
To help manage the busy period more urgent GP appointments are being provided through the GP hubs. Patients can book an urgent, same day appointment by calling 020 3770 1888, NHS111 or by calling their GP practice.

During the strike period please ensure you are only referring patients who really need it to hospital services as they may be busier than usual.
As ever we are asking the public to visit their GP, pharmacist, call NHS 111 or use NHS Choices (www.nhs.uk) if they feel unwell to help us keep hospital A&Es available for those people who really do need emergency or lifesaving care. If possible please update your practice’s telephone message system to encourage patients to use NHS111 or the practice rather than visiting A&E.
Together, we hope to reduce pressure on the system during the strike period. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
As always, if you receive a media enquiry you can forward this to the CCG media team via media@nelcsu.nhs.uk or 020 3688 1216.
