Help us to promote the new Talking Therapies marketing campaign.
As you know the CCG has been doing a lot of work over the last year to increase referrals to IAPT services. GPs have played a key role in this and we’ve seen that more practices have been referring to the service. Alongside this we have created a promotional campaign to encourage more people to refer themselves to the service.
The culmination of this is the creation of a new name, Talking Therapies, a brand and promotional campaign. The new name and campaign were developed with local people and patients, and enables people to find out more about the service and self-refer via a new website – www.mytalkingtherapies.org.uk
To help raise awareness of the service amongst your patients we will soon be sending your practice some printed leaflets and posters which we would be most grateful if you could display in your waiting rooms. A copy of the leaflet is attached for your information.
Who can use the Talking Therapies service?
As you know Talking Therapies is a free and confidential NHS service that works with people to help them feel better. It provides expert support from specialists who understand what people are experiencing. The expert team will introduce people to effective tools and techniques that are proven to work.
People who used Talking Therapies have told us it has helped them feel like themselves again:
“If I hadn’t have seen my therapist it would have been a dark and lonely road. I’ve come a long way in a short amount of time, and Talking Therapies has changed my life.” Melissa
“My sessions were really practical and gave me the tools I needed to manage situations. I was nervous at first about whether the service was for me, but once I’d read the leaflet about it I recognised a lot of the symptoms in myself and everything made sense.” Lauren

Thank you for your support in promoting Talking Therapies and referring more patients to the service.
