QOF 2017/18 Year-End Update

NHS Digital collects information for NHS England about General Practice (GP) achievement under the Quality and Outcomes framework (QOF). The GP Collections information is used to calculate GP payments for the current financial year and to set aspiration payments for the following one.
They will collect the year end QOF achievement information from 1 – 3 April 2018. They run other QOF reporting collections throughout the year, but these are not related to payment.

Year-end actions required
To prepare for QOF achievement information collection at year-end, practices need to complete a number of actions by the deadlines indicated:
- Ensure you are participating in QOF 2017/18 on CQRS. Contact your commissioning organisation if you have not been offered QOF 2017/18. (Participating in QOF 2017/18 must be completed by 23 March 2018.)
- Complete all the relevant actions in the QOF 2017/18 year-end checklist on NHS Digital website.
- Manually input achievement for the required manual indicators. (This can be done at any time, but must be completed by midnight on 31 March 2018). Please view the required manual indicators user guide on NHS Digital website
- Agree to participate in QOF 2018/19 on CQRS. (This must be completed by 23 March 2018.) Practices will start to see the offer for QOF 2018/19 on CQRS from the first week of March 2018.
If these actions are not completed by the deadline the following will occur:
- Overall achievement information cannot be collected
- Payments cannot be made
- Aspiration payments for the following year cannot be calculated
