Are you a GP trainee interested in developing your skills in paediatrics? Would you like to participate in a program that seeks to break down barriers between primary and secondary care? Learning Together may be for you!
Learning together Clinics are child health clinics jointly run by a GP registrar and a paediatric registrar who meet for 4-6 clinics over the course of a year. The clinics allow both GP and paediatric trainees to learn from each other and develop new skills. Following the clinic the pair will also share their learning with the rest of practice. The clinics are a great way for GP trainees to get focussed and supported paediatric training within the primary care setting. The aim is that by learning together outcomes for children can be improved.
For more information please take a look at the website:

Another program on offer is the opportunity to attend ‘hot clinics’. The hot clinic is an urgent GP referral clinic for paediatric patients that need advice, review or follow up. We feel this will offer you a great learning opportunity as cases are often one that are semi urgent and causes GP's/trainees some concern but usually do not require any further investigation or follow up from paediatrics.
