Dear Practice Manager and GP colleagues,
The NHS App was launched in Barking and Dagenham on Monday 4 March 2019, and available for patients to download from the Apple App store and Google Playstore.
It is the official NHS App and provides GP Online functionality, allowing patients to book, change and cancel appointments as well as order repeat prescriptions, check their records and access NHS 111 online.

We recommend that you aim to make a minimum of 25% of your practice appointments available online and that these appointments are appropriately labelled with names that patients can understand, for example use 'blood test' rather than 'phlebotomy'.
