BHR IT Team are in the process of upgrading the NHS mail accounts for all GP’s that participate in MDT video conferencing sessions.
The current Brother OmniJoin product will be phased out at the end of March 2019. In order to continue to participate in the MDT video conferencing sessions you will need to have the Skype for Business application added to your NHS mail account.
In order to apply the software upgrade to your account you must update your profile on NHS mail to indicate your role as a GP to enable Accenture time to upgrade the accounts.
The Primary Care IT Team will in the next few days be issuing a user guide to help support you to use the new Skype system for MDT sessions and details of some dates for open house training sessions to be held in Becketts House.
Your profile can be updated by clicking this link https://portal.nhs.net/Profile , at the NHS mail login screen please enter your login name and password, this like will take you directly to the profile screen.
Scroll down the active window towards the bottom of the screen until you see these fields;
And click on ‘Edit’ to update your details on all three sections, you will be presented with a scroll list of possible options for each field please select as appropriate.
You may like to take this opportunity to encourage all of your practice staff to update their own user profiles on the system in the same way with appropriate details.
