AbbaMoor Surgery (Harold Hill Health Centre - Havering) and Fullwell Cross Medical Centre and Newbury Group Practice – Redbridge are offering Phlebotomy appointments. You can refer your patients using the remote consultation tool in EMIS.
For Non EMIS practices, patients can call AbbaMoor Surgery (Harold Hill Health Centre - Havering) and Fullwell Cross Medical Centre and Newbury Group Practice – Redbridge practice to book a slot directly.
Attached is a user guide to support the referral process via EMIS Remote Consultation. However, you will need to enact your Enterprise agreements. Enterprise agreements have been set up for practices since March 2020 that signed up for inter practice referrals. We are now using this IT solution for phlebotomy inter-practice referrals
The Enterprise agreement enables practices to be able to book patients in for a blood test directly at a practice offering appointments across the wider PCN/Borough areas. By doing this, it reduces admin burden at the receiving practice and makes it easy for the referring practice to know that an appointment has been booked. This cannot happen without the data sharing agreement being in place.
For those that have recently signed the agreement, the practice will need to activate their agreement in order to view available slots for appointments. You should have received an email from Emis containing instructions on how to do this. (See below)
You will need to go into EMIS Web > Configuration > Data Sharing Manager > Appointments > Phlebotomy LIZ and select Activate my Agreement.
If you have any technical queries regarding the user guide, please contact Debbie Maddison in the CCGs’ IT team by email dmaddison@nhs.net
Patients attending Fullwell Cross Medical Centre will be required to wear a face mask and their temperature will be taken upon entry.
Please ensure patients attend with their blood test form at their appointment.
