As flu is still circulating in the community, people at the greatest risk of contracting flu are still being encouraged to have their flu vaccination this winter.
Thanks to efforts from GPs, the number of people aged 65 and over who have had their flu vaccination has increased this year, when compared to 2018/19.
However, the number of people who are under 65 and at risk as well as children aged 2 and 3 who have been vaccinated is lower than average and we would urge GPs to continue to call and recall their eligible patients to have the flu vaccination.
Please ensure that you continue to check your clinical system and compare your flu uptake with that which is recorded on Immform. Where you have a discrepancy please ensure that you amend Immform to reflect your clinical system. If you are unsure on how to do this please contact your Primary Care Improvement Lead.
