As part of our Talking Therapies programme, we are proud to announce that in early 2019 we will be launching computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (cCBT). cCBT is approved by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and aligns to NHS England’s Digital IAPT and Good Thinking London programmes.
cCBT improves access to psychological therapies as the patient can access the programme 24/7, seven days a week. In addition, the programme offers a structured and consistent approach that the patient can engage with to achieve their goals. Patients using this programme will receive support from a qualified psychological practitioner as well as an initial telephone assessment with a clinician who will ensure that each client is allocated to the correct clinical intervention. Those patients who we identify that cCBT is the appropriate intervention, will be able to start treatment within 24 hours.
You can make a direct referral to the service for an initial telephone assessment on 0300 300 1554 option 3 or ask your patients to self-refer by using the new electronic IAPT Patient Portal.
