Age UK has announced the commencement of a series of classes designed to reduce the risk of falls for over 65s. Starting 23 July in Havering, and 24 July in Dagenham, the weekly events will cost just £3 per session.
The sessions are designed for residents aged 65+ who are assessed to be at low risk of experiencing a first time and/or recurring fall.
Over the course of 10 weeks, participants will learn a variety of chair-based exercises designed to loosen joints and to keep them active, and afterwards participants will be given the opportunity to graduate to other exercise programmes available across the boroughs, to maintain the benefits of attending the classes.
