NDPP – National Diabetes Prevention Programme
The National Diabetes Prevention Programme is designed prevent the development of Type II Diabetes in at-risk patients. This face-to-face programme has a holistic approach, covering several different elements, such as nutrition, light exercise and state of mind. This all works together to develop a programme for the patient that promotes healthy lifestyle and balance.
On this area of the website, you will be able to find both GP & patient information sheets, along with a FAQ document, which should help to give you a deeper understanding of the programme, eligibility criteria and how to refer.
If you have any queries, please contact the BHR co-ordinator for the programme – Natalie Ritrovato at natalie.ritrovato@nhs.net
Look out for weekly emails from Natalie, delivered to your Practice Manager & Lead Diabetes GP, informing you of your practice target and progress.
